Introductory Letter

Sakura Resort is a private resort located in Hawaii on the big island. Sakura will cater to a large variety of individuals, pleasing customers seeking different experiences. We offer rooms for families, seniors, honeymooners, and anyone who is searching for a getaway while at the same time getting the opportunity to partake in many of the programs that the resort offers.

The Hawaiian community would greatly benefit from Sakura being on the island, as it will allow the town to flourish as they gain from tourists traveling to the area. The community could use a resort like Sakura as the area does not currently have a luxury such as a five star hotel. With the resort being so environmentally friendly, Hawaii would not be affected detrimentally by the construction of the facility. Sakura will be patronized by mostly tourists to the area, yet residents of the island will also benefit; for example, if a family wanted to take a vacation but did not have the means to travel, travel within the island would be easy and efficient, therefore they would be able to spend time at Sakura to enjoy a relaxing getaway. At Sakura, we will offer a wide range of programs from morning yoga to boat rental to parasailing. Other programs include a salon, an indoor water park, water sports, fitness activities, activities for children, luau dinners, and much more.

Construction is anticipated to being for Sakura in mid April of 2011 when weather is pristine. A marketing tool that Sakura will focus on is a postcard sent to residents of the island to inform them of the new resort, as well as brochures to explain about Sakura. The resort will also utilize television and radio commercials in order to get their name heard.

Within the report is information concerning research done to discover our competitors, target market, and demographics, to inform of our program plan, to show our plan for construction with schematics and renderings, to discuss our ADA plan, to inform of our operating budget, to display our risk management plan, to inform about human resources, and finally to explain how we will market Sakura. Also included within our report is information concerning how we will achieve a specific LEED certification, making Sakura environmentally friendly.

In hopes that this proposal is taken into consideration, Sakura Resort thanks you.
